We run a beach bar, not a data business. This page says plainly what the website collects, what it doesn't, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

Aqua Loca is a beach bar at Agios Vasilios beach, Aegina 180 10, Saronic Gulf, Greece, run by its owners, George and Anna. They are the people responsible for this website and for any personal data it handles. The quickest way to reach them about anything on this page is a direct message on Instagram, or a word at the bar.

The short version

  • There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter on this site.
  • There are no forms — nothing on the site asks you to type anything.
  • We do not run advertising or profiling trackers, and we don't sell or share data with anyone for marketing.
  • No cookies are set for measurement unless you say yes to them first.

Cookies and measurement

The site sets no cookies of its own by default. If we later switch on a visitor-counting tool to see which pages help people find the beach, one of two things happens:

  • If the tool is cookieless and counts visits without identifying anyone, it runs without a banner, because there is nothing on your device to consent to.
  • If the tool uses cookies (for example Google Analytics), a notice appears first and nothing loads until you choose. Choose “No thanks” and no measurement script runs at all.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the key al-consent so we don't ask again on every page. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain forgets it, and the notice will ask you once more.

Server logs

Like every website, this one is served by a hosting provider that keeps short-lived technical logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string. These exist to keep the site up and to spot abuse, they are not used to build a profile of you, and we don't combine them with anything else.

Things on this site that belong to other companies

  • Google Maps — the “get directions” and map buttons are ordinary links. Nothing from Google is embedded in the page, so nothing loads from them until you choose to click through. Once you do, you're on Google's site under Google's privacy policy.
  • Instagram — likewise a plain link to our profile.
  • Google Fonts — the display typeface is fetched from Google's font servers when the page loads, which means your browser's IP address reaches Google to complete that request. Nothing else about you is sent.

Reviews quoted on this site

The reviews page quotes reviews that guests published publicly on our Google listing, with the display name they chose to publish there. We didn't collect them; we're repeating what's already public. If you wrote one and would rather it wasn't shown here, tell us and we'll take it down.

Photographs and video

The photographs and clips on the site show the beach, the bar and the people who work here. If you're recognisable in something we've published and you'd rather not be, message us and we'll remove or replace it.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it's used, or ask for a copy. Given how little this site collects, the honest answer is usually “nothing beyond hosting logs” — but ask anyway and we'll tell you. If you think we've handled something badly, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).

Children

The site is aimed at people planning a day at the beach. It isn't directed at children and collects nothing from them.

Changes

If what the site does changes — a booking form, a measurement tool, a newsletter — this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
