Agios Vasilios faces west, across the water to the Peloponnese. Half the island's famous beaches are looking the wrong way at eight in the evening. Ours isn't.

A sandy beach with sunbeds and straw umbrellas where you want them, and clear shallow water that stays flat — easy with small kids, easy with a book, no pebble gymnastics.
Dogs are part of it
Yours is welcome on the sand and under the umbrella. There's water in the bowl by the bar and nobody will look at you sideways.

Chill music, all day — beachy and low enough to talk over. This is a beach bar, not a club: people come here to hear the sea between the songs.
